Flockjay is a sales bootcamp designed to train people for ‘future-proof’ jobs in the tech industry. The curriculum at Flockjay emphasizes skills designed to help students land sales jobs in the industry. This technology sales bootcamp offers three-hour live online daily classes, along with resume and salary negotiation training throughout the process. Additionally, students receive mentorship after hiring. Students are required to attend 90% of the online classes to graduate. The online learning experience at Flockjay includes live instructor feedback, screen-sharing, and weekly office hours.
The curriculum of the Flockjay tech sales bootcamp is divided into five sections. During the first three weeks of the program, students focus on BANT (budget, authority, needs, and timeline), time management skills, discovery calls, conversational marketing, and the science of sales. During weeks four through six, students begin working outbound prospecting. The subject matter covered during this time includes multi-channel outreach, objection handling techniques, and effective voicemail and email crafting. Weeks seven through eight cover modern sales tools including Outreach, Salesforce, LinkedIn, Zoom, ZoomInfo, Slack, Streak, and Drift. The following two weeks transition into solution selling, with topics such as active listening, matching, mirroring, developing rapport, and becoming a ‘trusted advisor’ as a salesperson. Flockjay chose to focus on career development and job placement during the last four weeks of the program. During this time, students attend a resume workshop, attend interview and coaching practice sessions, attend job interviews, and begin conference networking.
The technology sales program at Flockjay is 100% online and lasts for 12 weeks. Students spend three hours per day attending classes four days per week. Classes take place live on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM (PST). Students can also speak with instructors during weekly office hours. Students attend the evening virtual classes with other students and the instructor in a virtual classroom with live-feedback capabilities. To graduate, students must attend a minimum of 90% of the online classes. Failing to do so could result in dismissal from the class.
Flockjay offers students many networking opportunities and skills, along with career placement advising and resources. Flockjay itself works with tech companies such as Envoy, Google, Y-Combinator, Gusto, and Airtable. The job guarantee at Flockjay comes in the form of a money-back program, where some students who can’t find a job don’t need to pay for the course.
Flockjay students have multiple ways to pay tuition for the program. For students who opt to pay upfront, the total cost of this 12-week sales training program is $5,000. Flockjay also offers an income share agreement with a money-back guarantee. The income share agreement starts with no down payment or upfront cost. Students who complete the program and get hired commit to pay 10% of their income for one year, a maximum of $9,000 or whichever comes first. The $9,000 cap is the maximum amount of money paid by students who select the income share agreement—no long-term loan payment is required. The money-back-guarantee is valid when students meet certain conditions.
